Read on for information about the Hillsboro Schools Foundation Innovative Grant program.
HSF supports projects that put the tools of exploration, imagination and self-expression directly in students’ hands, giving them opportunities they wouldn’t have under normal school funding to design, analyze, aspire, interact, build, explore and learn.
Grant opportunities are announced in late winter/early spring. Short Abstract applications due in early February, are considered first. Finalists are then invited to complete a full application by late spring. Grants are awarded soon thereafter and the funds are available for each awarded project during the following school year.
Our application process is simple, fair and open to all Hillsboro teachers and schools for programs that enhance student achievement both inside and outside the classroom. We evaluate and select proposals based on student engagement and achievement, innovative instructional methods and tools, and sustainable, measurable results.
